HSI – Protecting Animals Worldwide

HSI is probably the most efficient of all international animal welfare organisations. I have the privilege to be its Chair.

HSI protects companion animals, livestock, lab animals and wildlife. We are pro-active, drafting legislation for the Thai government to end the dog meat trade in that country, providing hands-on help spaying and neutering street and beach dog populations in Bhutan, the Philippines, Mexico and Panama, convincing governments to pass humane legislation, such as banning the landing of shark fins in India unless they are still attached to the sharks, banning captive whales and dolphins in India, banning not just the use of animals in cosmetic testing in Israel but banning the import of any cosmetics that have been tested on animals.
